About us

Built for editors, not for IT teams

We make scholarly publishing software that you can actually use — without a sysadmin, without plugins, and without paying separately for every feature.

Our story

Why we built this

Scholarly publishing software has been stuck in the past for two decades. Editors spend more time wrestling with broken plugins and outdated themes than they spend reading manuscripts. Indexing applications get rejected because metadata fields are missing or formatted wrong. Migration between platforms takes months.

We thought it should be easier. So we built a single platform where the editorial workflow, journal website, indexing exports, DOI registration, analytics, and newsletter sender all live in one place — under one login, on hardware we maintain.

Every feature we ship answers a question we heard from a real editor: "can your platform do X?" The answer should always be yes, and it should always be built in.

What we believe

Four principles guide every decision we make

Speed matters

A journal should be live in minutes, not months. A newsletter should send in seconds. A DOI should mint with one click.

Standards-compliant

Crossref, ORCID, ROR, JATS, DOAJ, COUNTER, OAI-PMH — we follow the standards the indexing world expects.

Privacy first

No third-party tracking pixels. No Google Analytics dependency. Geo data comes from local databases — your readers stay yours.

Editor-owned

Your data is yours. Export anything any time. Migrate away if you want. We earn the renewal — we never lock you in.
